I worked with Mrs. Burney for 4 years at my school to help develop our balanced literacy program. The intimate workshops she held with our team helped to create cohesion between grade levels and allowed time to workshop and collaborate together with her support. Valencia worked as a partner throughout the whole school year, the classroom visits gave another set of eyes to see areas of strength and growth and she then gave one on one support to individual teachers. She worked around the clock to give resources and feedback either in person or online to help answer any question. Valencia was and continues to be a great support, idea partner and collaborator!
